We’re saddened to hear of the passing of Tomi Ungerer. A remarkable story teller and artist. R.I.P. I made this photo of Tomi signing books in Bantry 2017, after a great interview with Sophie Gorman at the West Cork Literary Festival.

I made many visits to Tomi’s garden over the years. One of my favourites was right here:

‘Between 15 and 20 metres beneath this surface, crossed legs and facing west, I levelled off, closed my eyes for a moment and then looked in to the ocean, the Atlantic Ocean…’
