Clocks go back, clocks go forward, we remember.
This series of photos appeared as a thread on my twitter, see pinned tweet, a time warpped, time travel remembering audiences and gigs in venues over the years. You can if you like, like, share or follow the thread or this post and I’d appreciate any or all.
This post was the trigger for the thread, remembering the Secret Song festival at Levis Corner House, Ballydehob, West Cork, Ireland.
Most of all, please check out the bands and venues and give them a shout out if you like what you see and hear.
I’ve included a few extras that don’t appear in the thread because, bonus, and a couple are previouly unpublished, because bonus. Otherwise the rest these have appeared on my site during the last 10+ years through good times and through difficult ones.
I remember these times fondly and with longing as we enter another lockdown. The people in the venues with the musicians and their crews, the venue staff and the surrounding communities, each supporting and being supported by the other. This is a snapshot. A shout out too, to the radio DJs who, from rising times to late dates, alternatives & folk shows, who give these musicans a spin. We are listening.
As with you all, I don’t know what happens next, or how what happens next will happen, but it will happen and we can be ready for that day.
Take care, look out for each other, look out for yourself.
Thank you. X
